At Creative Space OT we offer Occupational Therapy and DIR Floortime® services
At Creative Space OT, we believe that working with children and young people using the approach that best fit them as well as being in their natural environment are the best way to support them to achieve their full potential in everyday activities and well-being.
We work holistically and in the settings that best meet the child and young person’s needs. Overall it includes educational settings (including nurseries, mainstream, ARP/ELP, special schools), children’s home and community settings parents/ carers would like their children to access (e.g. supermarket, park).
Occupational Therapy (OT)
Occupational Therapy, shortened to OT, aims to help individuals with their every day activities or occupations.
With children and young people in mind, OT will help with the following:
Attention and focus in class or at home
Sensory processing: tolerance of different sensory experiences which cause significant difficulties or strong need to be constantly ‘on the move’ which impact on focus and learn
Understanding of the different sensations coming from the body and how they can impact on emotional responses (interoception)
Playing skills (also a strong part of DIR® Floortime)
Remembering things and organising oneself?
Self-care including dressing, cutlery or toileting skills
School-based activities such as writing, drawing, cutting with scissors draw
Body awareness and coordination in order to run, join in PE class or play in the playground/ with friends?
As part of the OT process, I provide individualised assessment and/or therapy for children with a range of needs and diagnosis, such as autism, ADHD, Developmental Coordination Disorder(DCD), developmental delays, Downs Syndrome, Hemiplegia.

Floortime DIR®
- “From Delphine’s first session of Floortime with my son, we saw an improvement in his focus and connection. Delphine worked very hard and effectively in finding ways to engage with our son, something we ourselves find quite a challenge at times. She was also excellent at adapting her ideas quickly during the sessions to get the best possible engagement.
- The most important thing to us was that our son was obviously really enjoying the sessions and the fact that Delphine talked to us through everyone she had sone meant we could easily carry on with the Floortime ourselves.
- We felt that Floortime and Delphine unlocked some of our son’s play and engagement skills and it was wonderfull to enjoy these with him again.”
- Katy Gould, mother of Joe, Brighton

“Delphine has that rare combination of proficiency and passion. She has real solutions for real people.”
